Alongside my paintings, I also work in archival ink, creating botanical studies, a softer counterpoint to the detail and depth of my painted work; originals are drawn on watercolor, often handmade, paper. I love the elegance of line work and the challenge of capturing the character of a flower, leaf, or small creature with very little else. There is something meditative about the process, and over time these drawings have become an important part of my practice.

Expanding the Series
I’m currently expanding my botanical studies into a series of large-scale works in archival ink on birch panel. Designed to stand alone or be grouped into larger installations, the thick wood panels give the work a substantial, architectural presence while retaining the simplicity of the original line work. Their depth allows them to be hung or casually leaned against a wall, creating pieces that can shift and evolve within a space.
